Why does the SPARQL endpoint not work?

When clicking on “SPARQL endpoint” at the bottom of the “Home” screen it is possible that the following message appears:

"Missing configuration or the endpoint store was not set up yet. The SPARQL endpoint need to be updated. Please contact to the administrator."

The SPARQL endpoint needs to be updated by going to Menu -> Administration -> Maintenance database -> Update SPARQL endpoint and clicking on “Submit”. This procedure may take several minutes. When finished the SPARQL endpoint is opened.
